It’s amazing how many variations of witchcraft there are there in the big, wide world.

Paganism, wicca, hoodoo, elemental, celestial, luna, tarot, storm, old school, modern, new age, black magic, light magic, green witch, kitchen witch, hearth witch…

If you skimmed over that list, I don’t blame you.

I understand why labels are useful, it helps describe who we are and what we practice.

But spirituality is more fluid than that. Most witches who have been practicing for a while, have experimented with many different forms of the craft over the years.

Everyone has their own strengths, interests and curiosities and I believe there is space for everyone.

This space – my space – will naturally reflect my own craft.

I tend to connect to the elements, the night sky, my home and art in all its forms, but those are not the only ways to practice, or even the best ways to practice – they’re simply my ways.

And while I love to teach and develop these aspects of the craft in the people I meet, if something I say doesn’t vibe with you, that is a sign from the universe.

Trust yourself.

Don’t let the flood of information distract you from your own core experience.

There are no must-dos, should-haves or can’t-bes in spirituality, in witchcraft.

You should feel as free as a wild bird to learn, experiment and play… but don’t ever think the way someone else practices is the be all and end all of the craft.

Your journey will be uniquely your own, and I urge you to cherish that.

There will be no references to gods, goddesses or deities on my blog. Instead, I refer to “The Universe” or the energies of the things I surround myself with.

This is how I connect to the world around me, how I practice the craft.

There will be plenty of people out there who tell me I’m wrong, and plenty of people who don’t understand or agree, but here’s the truth about this: Their opinions don’t matter.

Witchcraft is not about #Magick or crystals or spirits or runes.

It’s not about ancient practices, tarot cards, high priestesses or mercury retrograde.

Witchcraft is about connecting to yourself and the world around you, and being the best possible version of yourself, everyday.
